ZerodueLAB is the department of Zerodue Industrial dedicated to providing high-tech services for lighting companies.

Supported by partners of primary international relevance, we are able to provide a very wide range of services that are now indispensable to all those companies that want to be on the market with products that are sustainable but, above all, compliant with the increasingly stringent European and international reference standards.

Laboratorio spettroradiometrico Zerodue Industrial

Our laboratories make accurate measurements of photometric and electrical characteristics of light sources by detecting and analyzing more than 200 parameters.

These measurements are indispensable in the design and marketing phase of a lighting product because they are the basis for being able to prepare all the technical documentation required by the Community Standards.

In addition, they enable constant testing of various production batches to ensure that the performance and efficiency standards set at the design stage are maintained over time.

In order to be sure that a product complies with the EU Regulations on service life and maintenance of required performance, it is necessary to conduct stress tests with special instruments and under certain controlled conditions.

Our laboratories have a temperature-controlled environment (programmable conditioning oven) in which product samples, during operation, are subjected to limiting temperature conditions for a specified period of time.

At the end of the program, the number of surviving units is checked to determine that the survival factor is within the limits imposed by regulations. On the surviving specimens, spectrophotometric tests are performed again to detect differences in performance from the initial condition.

Another important stress condition for the life of a light source is the number of on-off cycles.

Our laboratories are able to test resistance to on-off cycles by means of special automated equipment of our own design and manufacture.

Again, once the minimum number of ignitions predicted in the design phase has been determined, the samples are subjected to the expected on-off cycles.

At the end, the number of surviving specimens is counted, and the product’s compliance with design expectations and compliance with what is stated in the legal technical documentation can be determined.

For each specimen tested and for each type of test performed, our laboratories produce individual test reports.

Test reports are complete with all measured parameters, diagrams, graphs, test and product references.

Technical and information sheets are then prepared for each product as required by regulations.

With the entry into force from September 1, 2021, of COMMISSION DELEGATED REGULATION (EU) 2019/2015 of March 11, 2019, the requirements for energy labeling and mandatory information to be included on products, packaging and various media have become more stringent and defined.

These indications are also critical in order to achieve product compliance.

Our in-house design department can create all the graphics required for correct product marking, energy labeling, and the correct indication of all the mandatory data for placing a fully compliant and design-winning product on the market.

Interlaboratory Italy

Zerodue Industrial participates in
Interlaboratorio Italia
, organized by OxyTech, in collaboration with

  • Asselum – Grupo OxyTech (ENAC Accredited)
  • Everfine LAB (NVLAP and CNAS Accredited)

The goal of these Interlaboratories is to verify the level of accuracy achieved by different laboratories, including those owned by luminaire companies, in the intended areas and their competence, helping them to assess their own level of accuracy and, if necessary, to acquire information useful for continuous improvement.

Interlaboratory is one of the mandatory tools provided for laboratories accredited according to ISO / IEC 17025 and is the best method for constant and timely verification of the level of accuracy they achieve for different tests.
